basic mathematical shapes and terms


 1 square

2 rectangle 

a rectangle doesn't have the same size sides all around it but it has 90 right angle edges the length of the side will always be the same as the opposite side

3 parallelogram 

a parallelogram is a 4 sided shape that the opposite sides are the same length and corner to corner should be the same length

4 rhombus 

Rhombus is a flat shape with 4 equal straight sides. Opposite sides are parallel, and opposite angles are equal

5 kite 

a kite is a quadrilateral whose four sides can be grouped into two pairs of equal-length sides that are adjacent to each other. In contrast, a parallelogram also has two pairs of equal-length sides, but they are opposite to each other rather than adjacent.

6 isosceles trapezium 

Isosceles trapezoids have two sides that are opposite and parallel. The angles adjacent to each non-parallel side are supplementary. The angles adjacent to each parallel side are congruent. The non-parallel sides have the same length.

GYOZA DUMPLINGS


INGREDIENTS:

400g lean pork mince

1 cup finely shredded cabbage (see note)

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon soy sauce

3cm piece ginger, peeled, grated

2 garlic cloves, crushed

30 gow gee wrappers

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

sliced green onions, to serve


Dipping sauce

1/3 cup teriyaki sauce

1 teaspoon sesame oil

 


METHOD:

Step 1 

Place mince, cabbage, sesame oil, soy sauce, ginger, and garlic in a bowl. Stir to combine. Place wrappers on work surface. Make dumplings: Spoon 1 heaped teaspoon mince mixture on 1 half of wrappers. Brush edges with cold water. Fold remaining wrapper halves over to enclose filling. Press edges together to seal.

Step 2 

Heat half the vegetable oil in a large frypan over high heat. Remove from heat. Reduce heat to medium-high. Arrange half the dumplings in pan. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes or until bases is browned. Add 1/2 cup hot water. Cover with lid. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes, adding more water if necessary. Remove from heat. Uncover. Stand for 1 to 2 minutes or until dumplings come away from the pan easily. Repeat with remaining oil and dumplings.

Step 3 

Meanwhile, make dipping sauce Place teriyaki sauce and sesame oil in a bowl. Stir to combine. Serve dumplings with dipping sauce and onion.

2 area prepared for use 

in this picture, you can see that we are cleaning tables with detail and a cloth 

and the cutting board has been cleaned 

while the knife and equipment is clean and sharp we placed a cloth under the board so it cants slide around 

when you go to cut your food  





4 knives need to be stored correctly to avoid them being damaged or broken in class we store them 
in a cabinet wich, the knives are stuck on with magnets so that they don't fall or don't touch other knifes this stops cross conamanayshon witch you don't want in an environment were food is beating prepared and cooked as it could cause food poising

 our 1st projet was our can crushers  this is a finished photo of my can crusher 



i was happy with how my can crusher turned out I'm happy with how my welds turned out if I got to make it again I would take some more time on making my wooded base just to tidy it up 






our 2nd projet that we are doing is a gear shifter knop
